Job Description:

This position is responsible for partnering with Business Leaders representing our Total Rewards programs including job architecture, global total rewards strategy, compensation planning and talent processes. At its core, this role will ensure Zscaler's compensation programs drive strong alignment with our business objectives. The Sr. Manager, Total Rewards is primarily responsible for consulting with the business on Total Reward programs including effective workforce planning, attraction and retention of critical talent and monetary/non-monetary recognition initiatives. This includes both base/fixed pay, variable pay and equity programs. This role will partner closely with business group HR leaders to ensure strong alignment between design and delivery of the respective programs. Additionally, this position will be responsible for ongoing continuous improvement of our processes and standard work relating to compensation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong program management and problem-solving skills. Capable of executing multiple projects & initiatives simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Lead Program Manager in the roll-out of our global job architecture program in partnership with other Compensation Partners, HRBP Leads and business leaders.
  • Advances industry best practices regarding innovations to our broad-based and executive compensation plans and programs.
  • As appropriate, proactively educate leaders, HR and colleagues on compensation strategy, practices and benchmarks.
  • Lead and ensure effective management of various broad-based compensation work streams including salary planning, annual bonus and equity processes and reviewing compensation insights with leadership.
  • Work as a strategic partner to our Senior business leaders, P&C Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition to ensure integrity in broad-based compensation philosophy, governance and pay equity.
  • Advance industry best practices regarding innovations to our broad-based and sales compensation plans and programs, performs analytics and peer benchmarking during the annual performance-based variable compensation goal setting process in partnership with CEO, Leadership Team, Finance and Legal.
  • Proactively educate Senior Leaders & P&C colleagues on our global compensation strategy, job architecture, compensation administration practices and benchmarks.
  • Supports and interfaces with the Global HR team to ensure overall understanding of compensation philosophy and strategy as well as role management/job code standardization.
  • Contribute to formulating and establishing rewards function OKRs, policies and operating procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate and effective broad-based compensation governance and internal controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Convert data outcomes into insights and executive ready presentations to senior leaders including CEO and Leadership Team.
  • Designs and Develops and dissemination of effective communication materials that improve the understanding and value of Zscaler Broad-Based Compensation programs.
  • May lead global projects, including new country site startups, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration, and new program and technology implementations.
  • Drive end-to-end consistency across programs and train resources.
  • Remain current on global compensation technical solutions and introduce solutions to improve internal programs.
  • Coordinate the global market analysis exercise with other regional compensation partners being an authority on major external survey methodologies and have deep insights in market data utilization globally. Ensure our methodology is globally consistent and that we have a unified approach to building ranges/administering pay around the world.
  • Ensure that the compensation structure (base, bonus and equity) and compensation governance process is free from bias and meets the highest standards of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation.
  • Broad business and financial acumen and corporate governance standards.
  • Experience working with job architecture from a design, implementation, administration, governance and compliance perspective.
  • In-depth experience with the annual benchmarking and pay recommendations for a variety of functions, preparing materials for the CEO, Chief People & Culture Officer, and Management.
  • Experience leading global large-scale rewards projects, understanding the nuances of labor rules and tax compliance and market practices for international compensation and benefits programs.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, experience with big data and interfacing between HRIS applications, solid financial and compensation modeling skills and ability to communicate persuasively to resolve highly complex problems.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and collaborate with P&C Business Partners, Business Leaders and external consultants. Track record of influencing at the senior leadership level.
  • Experience in merger and acquisition due diligence and integration.
  • Advanced Excel skills is a requirement, in addition to gsuite and gsheets proficiency.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong client focus and customer service orientation.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Solid personal characteristics including the highest level confidentiality, ethics and integrity.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$147,000—$210,000 USD
