About the Team

Workday is looking for a motivated problem solver and passionate collaborator to fill the role of Senior Associate Product Manager for the Core Compensation Product, which enables Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) customers to reward their workforce.

In this role you will use strong communication and collaboration skills to identify root causes and resolutions for reported product defects. Your work will impact many core features of the Compensation product space, which is used by thousands of Workday HCM customers.

Although we work hard, we also have a lot of fun! We’re looking forward to sharing our experiences with you and learning from the unique perspectives and experiences you’ll bring to the team!

As a US Military Veteran or currently serving National Guard or Reserve member, Opportunity Onramps® at Workday is a program to launch your career in the technology industry. Through our Military & Veteran Program, we use full-time career opportunities to provide you with on-the-job training and mentorship, while allowing you to showcase your skills and experiences, and how they align within your new career opportunity here at Workday.

About the Role

This role will support the product team and our business in one of our most critical areas - Customer Production Support. To be successful, you will:

  • Respond to incoming product questions from the support analyst team.

  • Review reported defects with support analysts and evaluate if the issue is truly a defect or an issue with the customer's configuration.

  • Leverage productivity tools in collaboration with developers and quality assurance engineers to facilitate triage and resolution of production issues and defects

  • Collaborate with peer product managers regarding impactful cross-team product decisions.

  • Serve as the representative for the team to internal collaborators and external customers - being accountable for the functional quality of the product and making key design decisions to ensure viability and scalability of resolutions.

  • Prioritize and roadmap fixes ranging from low effort to high effort in accordance with their severity.

  • Define, baseline, track, and report progress on success metrics.

  • Maintain and improve upon production support processes and methodologies.

This position is based out of Pleasanton, California. We operate with a hybrid model requiring at least 50% of time in office.

This role is posted in partnership with Bay Area Opportunity Onramps.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
