About the Role


As the Sr. HRIS Analyst at ThredUp you are the guru for all of the Workday suite of products, including Core HCM, Learning, Recruiting, Benefits, and Compensation. You are the owner of Workday maintenance and support, working in close partnership with our IT and People Operations teams. In this role, you will continue to evolve our business processes, refining and enhancing configuration, reporting, and security. You will be instrumental in keeping our team humming by utilizing your strong background in Workday with proven abilities to plan, organize, implement, and manage specific solutions that make an immediate impact. When it comes to Workday HCM, you’ve been there, done that. You’re comfortable recommending and configuring technical or functional solutions to further refine our processes and utilization. You will thrive in this position if you are a curious, natural learner who enjoys digging deep to understand problems and identifying creative solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Administer and maintain the Workday HCM application including enhancements, support of customization efforts, maintenance, and system upgrades, access and security

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users including the Payroll, People Operations, IT and Analytics teams.

  • Lead and participate in the review, testing and implementation of Workday releases and communicate the benefit of these features to stakeholders. Develop and manage a roadmap to add Workday functionality and features bi-annually.

  • Support People Operations and Analytics team with complex reporting and data sourcing as needed.

  • Manage user permissions and support data integrity in partnership with Analytics and People Operations.

  • Partner with Payroll teams to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Workday to ADP Payroll integration.

  • Lead and support the resolution of integration issues, execute ad hoc data uploads, implement change requests and develop complex reports with analytics and technical teams.

  • Maintain a business relationship with our AMS partner.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A highly detail oriented, curious learner and self-starter who approaches problem-solving with a focus on business impact and speed.

  • Workday Pro certified or Workday Eco certified in one of the following areas is preferred: HCM, reports and dashboards, or advanced compensation

  • Excellent analytical skills and consultative skills, including an ability to explain systems and solutions in simple terms to stakeholders across the business.

  • 5+ years of Workday HCM, Recruiting, Benefits and Advanced Compensation modules. Preferred experience with Learning and Payroll modules

  • Proven skill in building reports and dashboards to make relevant data easily accessible to management and end-users.

  • Experience building and troubleshooting Workday Studio integrations preferred

  • Experience with data governance and SOX compliance.

  • Proven ability to analyze issues, determine root causes, and problem solve in a collaborative team environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business systems or related field.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, adept at collaborating with team members, internal customers and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working with online productivity tools such as Google Docs, Google Drive, Gmail.

  • Ability to keep business and customer information confidential at all times.

  • Ability to train, teach, mentor, and coach team members on Workday processes and solutions.

  • Experience working within a scrum or agile methodology is a plus!

At ThredUp, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $135,000 and $175,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock, ThredUp employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing ThredUp stock if voluntarily participating in ThredUp’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.
