Job Overview

The Sr Manager, Compensation leads teams who provide compensation analytical and business management support to Compensation, HR and business units to ensure alignment with T-Mobile's strategic goals, competitiveness and efficiency. This role is accountable for the development, design, implementation and administration of compensation programs and policies to support T-Mobile's compensation and business strategy. The Sr Manager, Compensation provides guidance and governance of compensation decisions and programs impacting T-Mobile's business units. Accountabilities may include oversight of market research and architecture, compensation programs, or incentive governance and operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads teams responsible for supporting, developing and presenting compensation programs, improving market pricing initiatives, market insights, compensation review, reporting & analytics, and/or compensation tools and resources for corporate and frontline organizations. Partners with Compensation Advisors and HR to understand and support their clients’ business objectives by providing analytical support, incentive and market pricing governance, program development and improvements and communications.
  • Participates in the design, execution and administration of company-wide programs related to base pay, bonuses, policies, sales compensation, and performance-based compensation programs.
  • Aligns compensation approaches with business needs, developing creative solutions for employee retention and talent acquisition. Manages and improves processes, practices and program documentation regarding enterprise and incentive compensation governance and execution and ensures the mechanisms are in place to ensure and maintain compliance.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and governance on application of policies and guidelines. Researches and recommends solutions or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related challenges.
  • Ensures compensation programs are well governed, compliant and driving value for the enterprise.
  • Develops communication and education materials and tools and facilitates cross functional training and/or networking with key contacts outside compensation to provide subject matter expertise related to compensation policies and practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years experience in Compensation
  • 2-4 years experience in Management/Leadership

Washington Pay Range: $170,900 - $231,200

o The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

o At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
