Position Summary
This position is responsible for applying compensation and benefits and HRIS knowledge and subject matter expertise. Designs, plans, and manages all Total Rewards programs, including compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for reviewing programs, suggesting modifications, and ensuring achievement of competitive market position and other goals identified. Responsible for ensuring programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Ensures the compensation and benefits programs enhance the organization's ability to attract and retain employees. Works closely with the HRIS/HR lead to ensure HRIS system is up to date and operational.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and manages existing benefits programs and policies, including all health and welfare programs, and the 401(k) retirement plan. Ensures plans are competitive from a plan design and administration standpoint and makes recommendations for cost control and improvement. Works closely with CHRO and consultants on annual renewals and benefits strategy. Oversees and administers all activities for employees, including open enrollment, employee changes, and activities related to new hires and terminations. Coordinates communications related to employee compensation benefits activities, including preparing and conducting presentations for Senior Leaders and the organization.
- Manages all aspects of corporate compensation programs on a global level. Partners with other members of HR and Management to ensure jobs are priced according to market and the corporate compensation philosophy. Develops and processes incentive plans and payments. Develops recommendations for compensation adjustments based on benchmarks and market trends. Participates in external compensation surveys.
- Promotes wellness programs to employees through active, ongoing initiatives and communications (i.e. health screens, wellness education). Develops and administers programs to promote employee health including physical fitness, weight-reduction, smoking cessation, early-detection and related programs.
- Works closely with HRIS/HR lead to ensure that the HRIS system is up to date with all system changes, including employee demographics, benefits, and payroll. Partners with IT to identify and implement efficiencies administering the HRIS program as well as any upgrades.
- Maintains an ongoing effort to determine and maintain equity with current benefit trends and legislated requirements and programs. Works closely with brokers and counsel to ensure plans remain in compliance, including annual 5500 filings, audits, communications, amendments, and plan documents. Assures compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes, including (but not limited to) ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing and actively managing the benefits operational budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, making recommendations and initiating improvements.
- Work on global compensation and benefits projects. Investigates and provides recommendations on new compensation and benefits programs in different areas of the world where the company operates. Includes, but not limited to: market-pricing of global positions, recommending ancillary health and welfare benefits packages, and retirement programs in various countries.
- Maintains records of cost of benefits and compiles data for cost analysis. Reconciles and processes all benefits related invoices, as well as ensures the tracking of disability payments.
- Provides guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees through interpretation of employee compensation programs.
- Continuously educates Human Resources colleagues on current best practices and trends.
- Participates in benefits and compensation surveys conducted by other companies. Researches published surveys to gather data on positions. Analyzes published surveys to determine company's competitive position.
- Leads and manages annual compensation projects including all merit and bonus programs as well as forecasting.
- Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, accounting or related field required
- CCP/CBP/CEBS/PHR a plus
- 8-12 Years of experience in administering benefits programs and current knowledge of applicable federal, state and local labor laws
- Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, Family Leave and other regulations regarding employment and employee welfare
- HR/Benefits/Comp experience in a Manufacturing and/or global environment required
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
