The Compensation Project Manager is responsible for managing, planning, monitoring and reporting on key projects from conception through implementation within the Compensation function. This role is also responsible for proactively developing, managing and supporting Charter Communications’ enterprise-wide and business unit-specific compensation and employee reward and recognition programs. In collaboration with Compensation team people leaders, coordinates work and manages project details, data collection, reporting and communication to successfully drive project efforts. Assists with evaluating, designing, delivering compensation and reward and recognition strategies across the company. Ensures programs are competitive, meet business objectives and align with company strategies and have a positive effect on employee engagement. Supports the development, training, and education of Compensation team personnel on projects, programs and policies.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor projects from concept through implementation for multiple Compensation department projects simultaneously. Provide project assistance and Compensation expertise to help complete project work of others, as necessary.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of all assigned projects and gains consensus from stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and implementation.
  • Establish project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet high quality standards and leadership expectations using the appropriate tools.
  • Meet with internal customers of an assigned project to provide status updates and reports and gather project-related feedback.
  • Review, analyze and research existing process methodologies to determine efficient and effective solutions and provide recommendations for enhancement.
  • Track costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Support the development, training and education of Compensation personnel with respect to projects,
  • processes, and policies across the department.
  • Manage the design, implementation and maintenance of competitive employee reward and recognition programs.
  • Lead the planning, coordination and communication of reward and recognition programs across the company while monitoring reward and recognition programs and competitive labor market trends to enhance program effectiveness and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with reward and recognition vendor partners by managing contacts and maximizing value brought by vendors.
  • Lead the documentation and communication process of HR, employee and Business Unit leadership feedback related to reward and recognition programs to assess the value of these programs to employees.
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place to provide accurate and effective customer service to internal customers.
  • Assist in the implementation of reward and recognition policies and programs that support business strategies and attract, retain and motivate talented employees.
  • Ensure reward and recognition administration is compliant with internal policies, external regulations and is cost effective to administer. Maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and manages updating all reward and recognition practices in accordance with those requirements.
  • May initiate various analysis projects and the design of new or special rewards and recognition programs to address particular business needs.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Compensation & Reward and Recognition administration experience - 5+

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Total Rewards Professional (CTRP) and/or Certified Recognition Professional (CRP) Designation
