Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with 283 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

At Netflix, we have a unique approach to compensation that helps us attract and retain stunning colleagues around the world. We pay employees at their personal top of market for the role we’re hiring them into by making a good-faith estimate of the compensation each person could make at peer firms. This requires managers and the Talent team to combine competitive data we are able to extract from the external market alongside conventional data sources.

To do this effectively, we need a compensation team that can work without conventional compensation structures and enable our partners to determine the personal top of market for each individual using data, insights and resources that we can provide. This requires a skill set that can balance both the art and science of compensation design.

To that end, we are building out our global compensation team and are hiring a Manager of Compensation to support across all Functions in APAC. This role reports to the APAC Head of Compensation and is responsible for partnering with Talent Acquisition, HRBPS, and senior leaders to consult on all things related to compensation.

In this role you will:

  • Partner directly with teams across various functions such as Product, Marketing and Corporate Functions and develop a regional perspective on compensation across these functional areas.

  • Proactively provide education, insight and direction to HR partners, Talent Acquisition Partners and functional business leaders across APAC.

  • Provide valuable analytics to support compensation decisions while providing insight into the industry as a whole.

  • Develop/run analysis identifying market movement trends, assess gaps in our market data and provide recommendations on all talent related areas

  • Consult and guide our HRBP and Talent Acquisitions teams on our Compensation Philosophy and other mechanisms unique to Netflix.

  • Participate in compensation surveys and utilize findings to develop and inform Market Reference Ranges in partnership with functional leadership.

  • Develop tools and processes to help support the needs of a growing area of the business from a compensation perspective.

  • Support the development of our cyclical global compensation programs, such as pay equity, comp philosophy training, comp reviews, in addition to supporting ongoing initiatives and development such as job architecture and workforce planning.

What we are looking for some who has:

  • 8+ years of relevant compensation experience

  • Experience providing direction and counsel to HRBPs and business heads

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience assessing large data sets through google sheets or excel models

  • An eagerness to learn

  • A passion for compensation

  • Experience navigating ambiguity and is comfortable with some level of inconsistency

  • Experience with custom compensation programs and models

  • Strong communication and engagement skills

At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your personal top of market. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
