The core Advertising team is charged with building a new, best-in-class Ads organization to establish Netflix as the premiere platform for advertiser partners and to drive advertising revenue. As part of the Business Operations & Strategy team, this role will be a critical builder of the Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC) program, supporting the Advertising business. This means driving new solutions across SIC plan design, quota setting and management, payout operations, program analytics, and process/tool design and implementation.
Netflix is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Sales Incentive Compensation to build with us at this early stage. The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker who can demonstrate teamwork, strategic relationship building, and the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization. They thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments and are flexible, detail-oriented, and passionate about customers and advertisers. They must also be comfortable working with numerous stakeholders across the global organization in a highly ambiguous environment.
For this role, the successful candidate will have deep experience across Sales Incentives and/or Sales Ops programs and in defining and managing processes and metrics to support a high-growth sales organization. They will be able to juggle competing projects, define and execute against roadmaps to support the SIC program, and solve complex problems. This role will be accountable for the definition and implementation of Sales Incentive program metrics and measurement. Drawing insights from industry benchmarks and internal baselines will be core to success for this role. This role will also lead the building of reporting capabilities, data transformations, and forums for reviewing program health. This person will work closely with sales leaders, finance, HR, talent, legal, and other Netflix business partner teams to set and administer our SIC policies and program.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Determine the effectiveness and impact of global sales incentive compensation models, producing data insights and making design recommendations to a steering committee
  • Drive revenue data quality, including sourcing and reconciliation
  • Partner with engineering to design and implement SIC reporting and automation solutions
  • Play a key role in the global SIC program foundational buildout including; SIC strategy, policy and procedure documentation, enablement and related content creation, payroll, SOX, annual plan design process, quota, and stakeholder support
  • Define, document, and govern the health of the program metric review forums for Sr. Director and VP-level stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Talent, and Business Operations organizations
  • Propose and present ideas effectively, influencing decisions and outcomes
  • Design and implement SIC plans via tools, processes, and sales readiness
  • The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves and dive deep to implement effective processes and solutions. They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, resourceful, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. Communication and partner-relationship skills are critical, with a deep background in SIC or sales operations. Must be a passionate advocate for creating programs that deliver exceptional results from teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of sales incentive compensation, FP&A, or sales operations experience
  • Expert-level user of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing variable sales compensation plans
  • Experience working with Sales CRM and SIC tools (such as Salesforce and CaptivateIQ/Xactly/SPIFF)
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance/FP&A concepts and processes
  • Ability to define, aggregate, and analyze metrics to assess performance drivers
  • Experience setting, interpreting, and governing policies for a large-scale program
  • Experience with sales incentive compensation models for advertising
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $70,000 - $420,000.
