Job Description
McDonald’s Corporate Legal department is seeking an attorney to assist with a broad range of executive compensation issues, compensation disclosures, insider trading issues, global equity awards and ERISA issues. This role helps to ensure that the Company complies with relevant laws and rules and also monitors trends in the Company’s business performance, regulatory requirements as well as governance and disclosure practices among peer companies and counsels clients accordingly. The individual in this role is expected to work closely with clients (including senior level roles) to understand their needs and help them achieve business goals.
Job Description
- Advise on all aspects of executive and director compensation matters, including drafting and interpreting compensation plans or arrangements
- Draft compensation disclosures, including compensation disclosures in the proxy statement and Form 8-Ks as well as Section 16 reports
- Advise on legal issues associated with global equity compensation program
- Advise on stock trading plans, insider trading issues and assist with management of insider trading policy
- Assist with preparing materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board, including collaborating with internal subject matter experts
- Provide legal support on a variety of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans as well as employee benefit matters
- Stay abreast of and advise on developing trends in executive and director compensation and ERISA, including shareholder and advisor voting policies

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350 – 218,860 / per year

Qualifications
- JD degree and admitted to practice in the U.S.
- 6+ years of experience in the field
- Prior in-house experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of executive and director compensation and associated disclosure rules
- Ability to communicate complex issues effectively to senior level business leaders
- Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and writing skills
