Sr. Compensation Consultant

Reporting to the Head of Compensation, the Senior Compensation Consultant will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and administering Lucid’s compensation programs while partnering closely with the broader HR team and business leaders. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in compensation who can provide data-driven insights and consultative guidance to support business objectives in a high-growth environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong execution skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to drive key compensation initiatives. They will be instrumental in ensuring Lucid’s compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company’s goals.
You Will:
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to assist with the evaluation of the Company’s job classification structure, pay rate guidelines, geographic differentials, and short-term/long-term incentive programs that align with our overall pay philosophy
- Play a key role in the annual & mid-year compensation planning processes, including salary and bonus planning. Partner with HR Leaders to engage Business Leaders in ensuring successful completion.
- Ability and experience in leveling jobs, analyzing market data and proposing sound recommendations to recruiters and hiring managers maintaining internal equity and adhering to company compensation practices and philosophies.
- Support managers, employees, and TA team related to compensation programs, related inquiries, and requests for information.
- Formulate compensation offers for new hires with information from Job description, resume, internal and external market data.
- Assist with completing and analyzing external regional market salary surveys and tools
- Assist with communication and administration of local compensation policies and Knowledge of job classification, FLSA and wage & hour laws.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Resolve day-to-day concerns or issues through interpretation of policy or guidelines that have been provided.
You Bring:
- Minimum 5+ years work-related experience required in Compensation or Total Rewards
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance/Accounting, Quantitative Business Management or related field required.
- Advanced proficiency in Windows-based applications (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Must have excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with and knowledge of Radford Technical Job Descriptions, job codes and leveling systems a plus.
- Excellent, analytical, consulting, and influencing skills, with a track record of identifying issues and formulating solutions.
- Compensation Certification (CCP) or working towards certification a plus.
- HRIS Systems Knowledge and experience a plus.
This role is onsite based in our Newark,CA location with flexibility to work 1-2 days remotely.
