Position Summary
This position is an integral part of the Worldwide Sales Compensation team supporting all segments of the worldwide Sales organization. This position will collaborate with the Worldwide Sales Compensation team and other Worldwide Sales Operations teams.
The candidate will be involved in the administration of the sales compensation management tool (Varicent) and the implementation of its new software versions, testing; will partner with multiple teams and businesses to obtain and enrich data, will make sure the logic and information flows are up to date and efficient, will collaborate with other teams and vendors to optimize the compensation tool and all its deliverables. Also, the candidate will be involved in complex strategic reporting and will apply a holistic view of the processes and the company, to maximize the impact for decision making. Attention to detail, teamwork, curiosity, passion for data and systems paired with mindfulness of the big picture is essential for success in this role.
What will you do?
Administer the sales compensation tool at all levels WW, frontline to executive, meeting Worldwide company strategic initiatives.
Design, develop, implement, and manage F5 sales compensation reports, models, and forecasts at all levels (front-line to Executive level) to meet strategic objectives of Senior Sales Leaders
Be proactive to propose new initiatives to increase the effectiveness of data repositories, data flows, data quality and accuracy
Partner with multiple teams and businesses to obtain, enrich and display data
Develop corresponding policies and procedures to ensure best practices
Analyze key performance metrics to provide insight into sales compensation trends.
Liaise with Finance and Sales Operations on budget planning and sales compensation accruals.
Assist the managers in building and delivering first class insight for resource allocation
Drive special projects as needed.
Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

Bring these skills with you:
Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Engineering or Finance/Accounting/Payroll Operations experience is a must
SQL basic to intermediate is a must
Advanced user of MS Excel is a must
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems a plus
Experience with Sales Compensation software as Varicent, Callidus, others is a plus
Tableau or Microsoft Power Bi is a plus
Superior sense of responsibility, strong work ethics, very organized and detail oriented
You bring a passion for data, analytics and problem solving
You have endless curiosity, feel comfortable asking multiple questions, proactivity and you are self-driven and independent
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
You thrive in a dynamic environment and work with a high degree of freedom and proactiveness.
Capable of working under time constraints and running multiple projects
Ability to adapt to change, remain flexible and shift priorities in a fast-paced globally complex, customer focused environment.
What's required of me?
You have a BA/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field (required)
You bring a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience within:
Sales Compensation, Sales operations, Information Technology or comparative field
Reports design and optimization
Data analysis, financial analysis, business intelligence
Experience working in the Information Technology industry is desired.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table
Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material
Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (early mornings, evenings and/or weekends)
Job may be performed in an office environment sitting at a desk or computer table.
Quarter end flexibility required to allow for occasional extra hours.
Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.
