As the Director, Stock-Based and Executive Compensation, you will have a lead role in executing Expedia Group’s compensation strategy and you will collaborate with the team responsible for Expedia Group’s global compensation programs impacting thousands of employees across the globe. This role requires excellent leadership and problem-solving skills as well as operational efficiency and meticulous attention to detail.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement stock-based compensation and executive compensation plans in compliance with all requirements and aligned with the company’s goals.
- Help develop materials for meetings of the Compensation Committee.
- Provide consulting support for HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other internal stakeholders on stock-based and executive compensation, including the development of executive offers.
- Prepare and review compensation information for Expedia’s Proxy Statement and other SEC filings.
- Analyze data, model scenarios, and present insights to senior leadership on compensation programs and trends.
- Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to improve employee understanding of stock-based and executive compensation.
- Benchmark executive level roles and propose programmatic changes.
- Assist with the monthly equity grant authorization and work with internal stakeholders including Stock Administration, Accounting, Payroll, and Legal.
- Stay informed of best practices related to compensation programs/philosophy as well as SEC, tax, and accounting regulations.
Who you are:
- Financial modeling skills and deep understanding of equity compensation design, accounting standards, taxation, and market best practices.
- Has a Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent related professional experience.
- Analytical thinker and strategic problem-solver with the drive to cut through complexity and turn high-level business requirements and opportunities into specific initiatives.
- Partners closely with the business and drives informed decision-making using data to identify trends, resolve the root causes of issues, and develop solutions.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex concepts in a simple way.
- Establishes working relationships with stakeholders and builds rapport to become a trusted advisor.
- Has a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A natural bar-raiser who builds strong relationship by being an inspiring and approachable leader.
- Has a bias to action, being familiar with methods and approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative, lean and fast paced environment.
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $196,000.00 to $274,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $313,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
