The Role

Block is looking for a Senior Sales Compensation Partner to support its growing population and work with HR, Talent Acquisition, F&S and the Total Rewards team to ensure our sales incentive compensation programs continue to drive results and operate effectively. You will be the keystone to efficient growth and will work closely with HR, Comp & F&S on new solutions to ensure that sales compensation is aligned with talent and business strategy, simple and competitive.

You Will

  • Provide support in the design and creation of sales compensation plans and incentive programs to drive strategic initiatives and support company objectives, create sales compensation models, etc.
  • Proactively monitor sales activities and strive to maintain a high level of quality, accuracy and process consistency
  • Review and ensure accuracy of sales compensation data in all systems
  • Refine, maintain, and automate reporting and tools used by HRBPs and Talent teams
  • Support client needs through accurate and timely issue resolution of sales inquiries or disputes
  • Ensure that sales processes & policies are documented and implemented effectively within the sales organization
  • Manage and resolve inbound sales compensation data/reporting requests from key stakeholders (HR, Talent, Finance, Payroll, Stock Admin)
  • Ensure fairness and consistency in our daily sales compensation needs (offers, internal transfers, relocations)
  • Partner on special compensation projects (e.g., process improvement, policy implementation, analytics, Pay Mix analysis)
  • Assist in the Creation of net-new Sales Comp Plans for newly launched roles, liaising with compensation working groups to include all relevant information
  • Maintain thorough documentation around Sales Comp Plan structure, changes, and communication materials; ensures compliance with company policy
  • Serve as key member of the compensation steering committee and sales project manager during compensation cycles
  • Serve as DRI for SPIFF execution: manages go/SPIFF process, ongoing SPIFF tracking, performance reporting and payouts

You Have

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Sales Analytics or Sales Enablement
  • You have knowledge of sales plan design and/or sales cycles/processes
  • Advanced Google Sheets or Excel skills with the ability to effectively analyze data and develop or automate repeatable reports, metrics, and models
  • Familiarity with sales alignment, territory planning, reporting and analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, conduct research, formulate conclusions, and present conclusions regarding business issues
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate and explain compensation philosophy, program design, and recommendations effectively
  • Excellent prioritization skills and attention to detail;  you thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing business needs

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
