As a Compensation Programs Manager, you will help lead the design, development, communication and administration of incentive compensation programs and global pay structures. When it comes to attention to detail, leading projects, deadlines, communications, and ideas in different time zones, you’ve got it under control. This position will partner with Compensation Business Partners as well as team members from Finance, Recruiting, Systems teams and other People team functions to deliver effective and innovative compensation programs in alignment with Apple’s Global Compensation Philosophy.

Description

- Incentive Compensation Programs: Manage, design and coordinate various incentive plans, including Apple’s executive bonus plan, Retail leadership bonus plan, and other incentive plans. - Annual Incentive Compensation Planning: Lead all aspects of incentive-related processes during the Annual Compensation Planning cycle, including system setup, strategy development, timeline management, budget reconciliation, and administrative updates as required. - Pay Structures: Help maintain and develop processes to keep global pay/salary structures updated based on internal and external market data and in alignment with Apple’s compensation strategy. - Strategic Project Management: Lead strategic projects to improve and evolve incentive programs and pay structures, while also leading routine activities. - Reporting and Analysis: Perform ad hoc incentive reporting and analyses for Compensation Business Partners and other partners, using data-driven insights to find opportunities for improvement and present recommendations for program enhancements. - Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships and partner cross-functionally with People Operations, Finance, Legal, Compensation Services and other teams to support business needs. - External Relationships: Manage key vendor and supplier relationships as well as develop a network of Compensation professionals for ongoing monitoring of pay practices and shifting trends.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate will have achieved a track record of consistent success leading Compensation programs, with 7+ years of demonstrable experience at a multi-national company.
  • Deep knowledge of crafting, developing and maintaining competitive compensation programs, including incentive design programs and pay/ salary structures.
  • Exceptional Excel/spreadsheet skills.
  • Both domestic & international travel may be required for this role.

  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently when working with others. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to successfully balance multiple priorities and manage ambiguity in a sophisticated matrix structure.
  • Excellent process management, planning and organizational skills. Resilient and determined to ensure projects and results are achieved.
  • Robust analytical skills and business sense, with an ability to see the implications of actual and planned activities, contributing to management decisions.
  • Proven track record to learn on the fly and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Pragmatic, quick-thinking, and action oriented to drive for results.
  • Attention to detail and dedication to excellence, combined with high integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (MBA a plus)
